These wheels should NOT be dressed aggressively like resin or metal bonds. They have a porous ceramic vitrified bond. This bond has its own built in chip clearance. Aggressive or normal dressing is NOT necessary.

After truing, a VERY LIGHT short dressing is sometimes necessary. During truing, the CBN mesh (grit) becomes flat spotted. Grind some scrap hardened steel to condition these particles. When using a diamond truing nib or block, only true the wheel until one continuous band is made so as not to flat spot the entire surface of the wheel.

Remember to keep your coolants rich at an 8 to 1 or 10 to 1 ratio. CBN wheels must have a lubricic coolant to aid in curling the steel chips.
