DIT How TO Brief #105 How to do "Trick" Dry
Precision Grinding of
Carbide and Hard Steels

Most production grinding machines have only a set single speed. This locks up productivity and capability. The grinding wheels have to be designed for the various applications. But, if you add a DIT "Grinding" variable speed control to your grinding machine, the whole picture changes.

The DIT "Grinding" variable speed control has been technically engineered and designed to deliver a very flat signal of electric current to your spindle motors. The "Box" reads this data at 40 Kilo Hertz and corrects the wave length and pulse. This will also give you a better flow quality of electricity.

You will be able to slow down the spindle RPM to reduce friction and heat. This allows you to grind faster. Then for grinding shapes, tight tolerances, and low surface finishes, you can increase RPM using a DIT "Grinding" speed control. This will also reduce the kinds and quantities of your grinding wheels. Put one on a tool cart and attach as necessary to several spindles.
